Drywall repair guide
Take one wide photo showing the wall or ceiling, a medium photo of the damaged area and a close-up. Include dimensions separately so the contractor does not have to guess scale.
What to discuss before work starts
Mention ceiling height, texture, access restrictions and whether water is involved. Do not climb or approach unstable material to obtain a photo.
Put the scope in writing
Confirm the affected surface, repair method, finish boundaries, room access and any separate work before scheduling. The condition of concealed material can change what is needed.
