Drywall repair guide
A stain is evidence of discoloration, not proof that a leak has stopped. Record when it appeared, whether it changes after rain or plumbing use, and whether the drywall feels or looks distorted.
What to discuss before work starts
Resolve the source before cosmetic repair. Ask how affected board, drying, stain-blocking primer and paint will be handled in the scope.
Put the scope in writing
Confirm the affected surface, repair method, finish boundaries, room access and any separate work before scheduling. The condition of concealed material can change what is needed.
